Located on the 69th and 70th floors of the US Bank building in Downtown Los Angeles is the Skyspace LA observatory deck and slide.
Tickets for the slide start at $33.00 and include a specific time slot, access to either the slide, observatory deck or both. (Requesting flexible time, and a VIP pass will cost more)
The process to the slide involves two elevator rides and a bit of waiting, but they make sure to keep you preoccupied and never bored! You can start by watching a quick video about California before your first elevator ride.
My personal favorite was sitting on a square of glass 54 stories up - They had color lights light the building down to the ground level, and trust me, it is A LOT scarier in person! (Pictured below)
The slide is 45 feet long, but is an extremely quick ride. (Make sure to take your time to explore the view around you!) You ride on top of a mat, and are not allowed to photograph or take videos during your slide. Once you land on the 69th floor you are on the observatory deck that allows you a 360 degree view of the city. (There are several outside areas to check out, so make sure to walk around the 69th floor to find the other viewing decks)
I completely recommend checking it out! I went with my boyfriend, but it is definitely a fun thing to do with a group of friends or even take some time out of your day and try it by yourself! They definitely have created a full experience within the US Bank building.
(We went around 6 / 7 p.m. and were able to see the sun set before we took our trip down the slide. I would try to go around that time as well, it will give you a beautiful view and there are few lines!)
I hope you enjoy Skyspace LA as much as we did!
