If there is ever a good time to put away the designer bag and the YSL shades, it's when you're packing and unpacking everything you own!
As much as I have loved living downtown, I realized that I needed to start a new adventure, I was starting to get wrapped up in the "grey" of Downtown LA.
Every morning the streets were filled with business men skateboarding to work. (If GQ was a place - it would definitely be downtown) Suits and skinny ties are the trend in the city this season (and every season, actually).
Living two blocks up from L.A. Live was amazing, I loved the busy streets and getting to meet new people everyday, but for anyone who has been to Hollywood Blvd. (also two blocks away) you know that I am not lacking new friends.
The moment I moved into my new apartment I was captivated by the vibe of West Hollywood. Contrary to downtown, every store and restaurant is open late. In my old apartment, it was hard to find anything to do or anywhere to eat after 9:00 p.m. The streets became unsafe to walk alone, and I ended up getting locked in my room for the night.
This is so unlike West Hollywood, which has a plethora of tourists and locals exploring the streets into the early mornings.
I feel at home in WeHo. Everyone seems to be exploring the streets together, and creating memories with each other. There are men in Speedos running around asking for pictures, and Jack Sparrow passes me on his way home from work everyday...there is never a dull moment! Even the trendy cafes on Santa Monica Blvd. hold there arms wide open, welcoming anyone wanting to add to the experience.
I can't wait to find all of the amazing treasures out here in WeHo!
