With fall slowly approaching, I had to talk about one of my favorite pieces. I am completely in love with this off-white, high-low sweater. What I enjoy about this style the most is its' "naughty and nice" feel - The off the shoulder cut makes it flirty and sweet, but the gold spike-stud detailing is edgy and unexpected.
Being in the mood for the unexpected, I paired this piece with a suede button up skirt. Skirts and sweaters don't seem to be a typical duo, but can create some great looks!
I chose an uneven hem to create a layering look, but you could do anything from a high-waisted skirt with a cropped sweater to a light-weight top with a maxi. The look will be both comfortable and trendy.
Sometimes the unexpected pairings create the best outfits, and we should never be scared to take the risk!

About 9 months ago I had this urge to go blonde, and I called for my appointment before I could even reconsider. Nine months and a very faded light-brown head of hair later, I have decided to fix my mistake!
I will say I was a bit skeptic of box dye, but willing to give it a try; I went with #43 Dark Golden Brown from Garnier. I was extremely pleased with the results as well as how easy the process was. (Warning: Easy for most women, but I learned very quickly that you should not have your boyfriend try to do it for you!)
The whole process from beginning to end took me approximately an hour and twenty minutes.
What I enjoyed about this product, in specific, was their addition of oils. Argan oil was included in the dye mixture, as well as a conditioner for after the treatment. My hair felt amazing after the complete process - no dry or split ends!
I can proudly say I am once again a true brunette!
If there is ever a good time to put away the designer bag and the YSL shades, it's when you're packing and unpacking everything you own!
As much as I have loved living downtown, I realized that I needed to start a new adventure, I was starting to get wrapped up in the "grey" of Downtown LA.
Every morning the streets were filled with business men skateboarding to work. (If GQ was a place - it would definitely be downtown) Suits and skinny ties are the trend in the city this season (and every season, actually).
Living two blocks up from L.A. Live was amazing, I loved the busy streets and getting to meet new people everyday, but for anyone who has been to Hollywood Blvd. (also two blocks away) you know that I am not lacking new friends.
The moment I moved into my new apartment I was captivated by the vibe of West Hollywood. Contrary to downtown, every store and restaurant is open late. In my old apartment, it was hard to find anything to do or anywhere to eat after 9:00 p.m. The streets became unsafe to walk alone, and I ended up getting locked in my room for the night.
This is so unlike West Hollywood, which has a plethora of tourists and locals exploring the streets into the early mornings.
I feel at home in WeHo. Everyone seems to be exploring the streets together, and creating memories with each other. There are men in Speedos running around asking for pictures, and Jack Sparrow passes me on his way home from work everyday...there is never a dull moment! Even the trendy cafes on Santa Monica Blvd. hold there arms wide open, welcoming anyone wanting to add to the experience.
I can't wait to find all of the amazing treasures out here in WeHo!

Lately we hear the word "vintage" thrown around quite often. The truth is, most of the pieces we think are these luxurious, vintage pieces are actually just second-hand garments...and there's nothing wrong with that!
Just because that thrift store T-shirt you're wearing isn't actually from the 60's doesn't mean that it's any less trendy.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this amazing U.S. Army jacket at a flea market this passed winter. I never fear the idea of second hand items, these are the pieces that typically carry the most character and are also the best bases for DIY projects!
To balance out the simplicity of the jacket I paired it with a basic patterned dress and a trendy pair of Shellys London lace up heels to add some drama to the look. When looking for patterns, I tend to lean towards stripes; they are super trendy this season and give you an overall cleaner look. Unlike florals or other prints, stripes will create a more modern and contemporary feel.
Don't be scared of well-loved garments-They create some of the best looks!

This summer is all about proportions. Playing with proportions is a fun and easy way to add interest to any outfit. Pairing baggy boyfriend jeans with a cropped top is just one of the many ways to play with this idea... I, personally, like to use my accessories!
I have never had the need for a large bag, so this Valentino purse is my go-to this season. It is just big enough to carry my phone, wallet and lip gloss...It's summer-what else do I need?
My other favorite go-to are my "sunset" lens sunglasses. Sunnies are my favorite accessories for this season and they are a great way to add proportional interest to your look. (I bought mine for $20.00 at Lollapalooza, but) Quay Australia is a great brand that creates unique designs at an budget-friendly price!
